SUNNY SMILES was slow to begin, then lost further ground when bumped by SUPER GENERAL which shifted out. TREMENDOUS PLUS was slow to begin and then lost further ground when bumped by ALIVE AND KICKING. From a wide barrier, TREASURE RAIDERS was taken back in the early stages. Shortly after the start, DRAGON INN and DRAGON BOY were steadied when crowded for room inside VALUE CHOICE (Apprentice K T Yeung) which shifted in slightly when not clear. Apprentice Yeung was advised to exercise greater care. After this, DRAGON INN failed to muster speed despite being ridden along. Making the turn at the 1000 Metres, ALIVE AND KICKING became unbalanced after being bumped by PERFECT TREASURE which got its head on the side and shifted in abruptly. WHAT A THRILL made the turn at the 1000 Metres awkwardly, got its head up and became unbalanced. Making the turn after the 600 Metres, HOT SUN hung out. On straightening, TREASURE RAIDERS got its head up when being steadied away from the heels of DRAGON BOY. After this, TREASURE RAIDERS proved difficult to shift out into clear running and near the 200 Metres was then shifted to the inside of TREMENDOUS PLUS to go forward. Near the 100 Metres, D Whyte (SUPER GENERAL) dropped his whip. At the 100 Metres, SUNNY SMILES raced tight inside TREASURE RAIDERS which got its head on the side and shifted in away from ALIVE AND KICKING when improving to the inside of that horse which was giving ground. VALUE CHOICE and SUPER GENERAL were sent for sampling.
