Prior to entering the track, ICE FIRE became fractious and dislodged D Beadman, its rider. ICE FIRE broke loose and was quickly recaptured. D Beadman was not injured. EPEE DE HUA was slow to begin, throughout the race hung out and making the turn at the 700 Metres shifted out and was steadied away from the heels of TATTENHALL DELIGHT. BE MY SONG lifted its front feet off the ground as the gates opened, then bumped with SUPER FAMILY which shifted in after being bumped by HONEST TREASURE. After this, BE MY SONG took time to muster speed and throughout the race travelled wide and without cover. From the wide barrier, on jumping, ICE FIRE was taken back in the early stages. Making the turn at the 700 Metres, TOUT VA BIEN hung out after getting its head up when being steadied away from the heels of STAREILLY. Also making the turn at the 700 Metres, TREASURE PLANET hung out badly and shifted wider on the track. From the 350 Metres until the 150 Metres, MASSIVE STAR was held up and unable to improve. After the race, S K Sit (SUPER FAMILY) reported his mount jumped a mark on the track near the 500 Metres. STAREILLY was sent for an official veterinary inspection and sampling. After the race, STAREILLY was examined by the Veterinary Officer. He said an endoscopic examination showed a substantial amount of blood in the horse's trachea. Before being allowed to race again, STAREILLY will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. EXPLODING and MASSIVE STAR were sent for sampling. After the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that EXPLODING had bled from both nostrils.
