Two weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over dirt mile, slow out of the gate and settled at the back with an even pace but no impressive sectionals before finishing well-beaten. Now stepping onto Happy Valley’s 1800m for its debut, it will carry five pounds less in weight. However, this distance is not suitable, requiring a hold-up tactic, though lacking sufficient finishing kick to compete effectively against rivals and faces unfavorable conditions despite drawing a good barrier; essentially being used as a trial run.
