On March 25th (turf trial 1600m: 5-5-5-7), the horse showed no improvement despite being urged from the 200m mark. On March 14th (Happy Valley turf trial 1700m: 5-4-4-9) it faded on the straight and trailed back. Another turf trial on February 25th (1600m: 6-6-6-6) saw limited response to urging in the final stages. On February 15th (Happy Valley turf trial 1700m: 8-7-9-9) it was already ridden downhill and showed weakness due to its weight. A dirt trial on February 4th (1200m: 8-7-9) saw the horse shift inwards at the 300m mark and failed to respond. On January 17th (dirt trial 1200m: 11-11-11), it ran towards the back throughout and never entered contention. This is an Irish PP with a MA288 predicted rating of 57. It has three wins from six starts abroad, displaying decent form as a hold-up horse with good finishing speed and stamina. Having trialled six times this season without showing improvement, it appears to be lagging behind in progress. Making its Hong Kong debut in this race, it’s advisable to observe one run before assessing its potential.
