Horse analysis
Three weeks ago (3/4), during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 6-5-5), the horse was held steady in the early stages, moved out on the turn, and maintained a following position. Five weeks prior, it delivered an excellent performance on Sha Tin turf over 1600m, jumping slowly but settling towards the rear before finishing strongly with fast final sections to secure second place, beaten by only one length – a high-level run. A recent barrier trial showed it lagging behind the pace. Returning to Happy Valley for a mile this time with no additional weight, the horse has shown decent form over this distance and comparable times to its rivals; an advantageous barrier draw suggests a hold-up tactics focusing on its strong finishing kick, making it a leading contender. Based on its ability, it is considered the strongest in this race. Jerry Chau takes the ride, possessing good knowledge of the horse's temperament, although there may be some communication issues between jockey and trainer – potentially hindering performance.
