On April 11th, during a Conghua turf trial over 1200m, the horse settled comfortably in mid-division with horses both ahead and behind. Four weeks prior, in a race over the same distance, performance was poor; it tracked the leaders but faded badly to finish towards the rear. A subsequent barrier trial showed moderate improvement. This time, the horse receives a one-pound weight reduction but faces a timing disadvantage within its group, potentially hindering its chances, and trainer-jockey combination lacks strong synergy. However, it appears capable of tracking the pace if allowed to run forward, with the jockey demonstrating some understanding of the horse’s ability; increased work has been undertaken and a clean break should allow it to contend for a forward position.
