Ten days ago (April 10th), in a dirt trial over 1200m, the horse made a strong run from off the pace. Four weeks prior, over the same distance, it delivered an impressive performance, jumping slowly but finishing strongly with fast sections. A recent barrier trial showed it lagging behind the leading pace. This time, the horse needs to carry two pounds more and has drawn an inside barrier, which is advantageous, despite a lack of strong competition in its group. The tactics will likely involve settling back in the field, though its finishing kick may not be as strong as rivals; a place finish is possible.
