WINNING TURN

Six weeks ago, this horse delivered a dismal performance over 1400m on the Sha Tin turf, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. Although showing some effort in the middle stages, it lacked stamina and finished poorly. A recent turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections 9-9-9) showed poor response to urging. Now stepping down to a Happy Valley 1200m for its first attempt at this distance, with a three-pound weight reduction, the trip appears unsuitable and conditions unfavorable; even with a good barrier draw, it’s recommended to observe one more race before assessing its chances.
