Two weeks ago, this horse delivered a standout performance over a Happy Valley mile, jumping moderately and settling towards the rear before accelerating strongly in the final two sections to finish fourth, beaten by two and a half lengths – a respectable showing. In a subsequent trial over 1800m at Happy Valley, he has a one-pound weight reduction this time but doesn’t have an ideal setup. Despite comparable times within the group and drawing a favorable barrier, a hold-up tactic is anticipated, relying on a strong finishing kick which sets him apart from his rivals, though opportunities may be limited.
