Two weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong performance over a Happy Valley mile, jumping moderately and settling towards the back before accelerating in the final two sections with good speed. He finished fifth, beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent trial over 1800m at Happy Valley saw him receive a two-pound weight reduction, but he recorded slower sectional times and drew an unfavorable barrier. His finishing kick was lacking, leaving his chances questionable even if able to secure a good position tracking the leaders.
