On April 29th (dirt trial 1200m: 9-8-8), the horse trailed behind and showed little appeal. Six weeks ago, over dirt at 1200m, it ran respectably, jumping slowly but finishing with a strong late run. A recent barrier trial didn’t demonstrate improvement. Another Happy Valley mile trial followed, and this time carries no additional weight; its group timing was reasonable. Drawing a good barrier suggests a hold-up tactics. It possesses the strongest finishing kick in its group and enjoys favorable conditions.
