THE PRIME

Two weeks ago, this horse delivered a poor performance in a dirt mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. He made a mid-race move but lacked stamina to finish strongly, finishing well-beaten. In a subsequent trial over a Happy Valley mile, he is set to carry one pound more this time with similar section times recorded. The plan is again to settle back in the field, however, his finishing kick isn't expected to be as strong as rivals and overall form appears unfavorable despite drawing a good barrier.
