Six weeks ago, this horse ran a good race on dirt over 1200m, jumping slowly but finishing strongly from the back. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Last run was over a Happy Valley mile; this time he will carry an additional three pounds. Although the trial time was good and the barrier is decent, a hold-up tactics is expected. He possesses the strongest finishing kick in his group. Hugh Bowman takes the ride, known for controlling pace. However, he has failed to win in four attempts over this distance, and the trainer/jockey combination isn’t ideal; a trailing position is recommended.
