On April 29th, (dirt trial 1200m: 6-6-10) showed a flat performance with little to commend. Three weeks ago, over a Sha Tin turf mile, the run was unremarkable; slow out of the gate and settling back in the field, but finishing with a strong late surge, beaten three and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial revealed no improvement. Another Happy Valley mile trial run this time requires carrying an additional pound. Although competitive within its group, it will need to settle back, relying on a strong finishing kick. The horse’s form is good relative to other competitors, the trainer-jockey combination appears sound, but drawing a poor barrier position suggests a likely trailing pace.
