On April 28th, a turf trial over 1000m at Conghua saw the horse settling comfortably and responding well to pressure. Five weeks ago, this horse ran respectably over a Happy Valley 1200m, tracking the leaders with a strong early pace and finishing fourth, beaten two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Making its debut on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a two-pound weight reduction and an advantageous draw, it has potential to lead. The jockey has some familiarity with the horse's capabilities and enjoys a good rapport with the trainer; a clean jump should see it challenge for a forward position.
