Three weeks ago, this horse ran disappointingly over a Sha Tin 1600m course, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and making a mid-race effort but failing to sustain momentum. In a subsequent trial over Sha tin 1400m, he received a one-pound weight reduction and was instructed to race from behind, however, his finishing kick wasn’t strong enough. While possessing four wins in thirteen starts at this distance, the overall time for the group wasn't particularly impressive and no clear opportunity presented itself.
