STAR BROSE
Horse analysis
On April 17th, this horse recorded (dirt trial 1200m: 9-8-4), showing a slightly slow jump before moving out on the turn and being urged to chase. Five weeks ago, over Happy Valley’s 1200m, it ran prominently despite an indifferent start, settling back in the field then making late headway with fast sections. It finished sixth, beaten two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial was unremarkable. Making its debut on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time, it will carry one pound more than its last racing weight, requiring a hold-up tactic. It possesses the strongest finishing kick in the group. The trainer and jockey have a reasonable rapport, with gatework added before racing; despite the distance being unsuitable, drawing an outside barrier presents a disadvantage, proceed with caution.
