On May 8th (from Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 3-3-1), the horse jumped out quickly, gained clear running at the 200m mark and showed an attractive stride. On April 25th (from Conghua turf trial 1200m: 3-3-2), he cleared space at the 300m and responded well to urging. This horse is a last run winner, performing impressively eight weeks ago over the same distance, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and taking the win with a strong frontrunning move by two lengths. After a short break, showed slight improvement in two barrier trials. He will carry 7 pounds more this time, has proven form over this distance, holds the best time among his group, is capable of following the pace-setters, boasts the strongest finishing kick in the field, and benefits from favorable conditions. Compared to others, his strength is unmatched throughout the race. A jockey change sees Derek Leung take the reins; horse, jockey, and trainer are a good fit. Morning trackwork suggests improvement.
