On April 29th, the horse showed a strong response in a dirt trial over 1200m, taking the lead and finishing powerfully. Five weeks ago, in a straight course race, the performance was subpar; a slow start saw it settle towards the rear with a steady pace but lacking a final kick. It finished eighth, beaten three lengths. A subsequent barrier trial indicated improvement. This will be its debut on dirt over 1200m, and this time benefits from a two-pound weight reduction. The distance is expected to suit, drawing a favorable barrier suggests an opportunity to lead. With a smooth jump, the intention is to press forward for the early lead.
