Five weeks ago, this horse showed good pace in a Conghua turf trial over 1000m, finishing 3-2-1. Six weeks ago, he performed well over a Happy Valley 1200m, jumping slowly but settling back and finishing with strong sections. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. On debut on dirt over 1200m, this horse will carry two pounds less weight. The distance is not ideal, requiring a hold-up tactics. However, the finishing kick was weaker than rivals, and the trainer-jockey combination isn't strong. Despite drawing an inside barrier, the jockey has limited understanding of the horse’s capabilities; treat this as a trial run only.
