Six weeks ago, this horse ran a decent race over 1050m on the dirt (4-6-4 in trials), maintaining its position well despite not being overly impressive. Four weeks prior, over the same distance, it showed good form with a moderate jump, settling towards the rear before finishing strongly to take third place, beaten two and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial yielded an unremarkable performance. This time around, benefiting from an eight-pound weight reduction, the plan is to settle towards the back of the field; however, its finishing kick may not be as strong as rivals. The horse’s current form isn't ideal, nor is the trainer-jockey combination particularly strong. Despite previous success at this distance and a favorable inside barrier draw, connections have opted for Ellis Wong in an attempt to better control the pace and improve late speed. They are hoping for a respectable run.
