SUPER INFINITY

Two weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Sha Tin 1400m, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and making a mid-race move. He finished fifth, beaten two lengths. Another turf trial over 1200m is scheduled, with a four-pound weight increase for this race. The horse has previous form at this distance, comparable times to horses in the same class, and drew an advantageous inside barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field and rely on a strong finishing kick – expected to be the best in the group. He appears to have a higher level of ability compared to other contenders. Luke Ferraris takes the ride, having some familiarity with the horse; trainer and jockey are well-matched and appear confident.
