Three weeks ago, over Sha Tin 1400m, the performance was acceptable; the horse led easily and quickened in the middle stages but couldn't sustain the effort to the finish, finishing second by a half-length. The level of form is high. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m for its first run, it now carries a four-pound weight reduction. Its time difference compared to others in the group isn’t advantageous and trainer-jockey combination doesn't seem ideal. Despite having won twice at this distance before, it has early speed potential and draws a good barrier. Angus Chung takes the ride; the jockey has some understanding of the horse’s ability but doesn’t appear to have a clear plan.
