Two weeks ago, over a Happy Valley mile, the performance was moderate. A slow jump saw it settling at the back of the field before making a strong run but ultimately finishing three lengths behind in seventh place. The horse has since lost 24 pounds and will now trial on Sha Tin turf over 1200m with a five-pound weight reduction. Despite a time difference within its group requiring a hold-up tactic, it lacked the same finishing kick as its rivals. Trainer-jockey combination appears less compatible, however, an advantageous inside barrier draw provides some hope. The switch to Keith Yeung offers potential, as the jockey is aware of the horse's limitations and a follow-up run might be worthwhile.
