Four weeks ago, this horse ran impressively over a Happy Valley 1200m, jumping slowly but settling towards the rear before making ground with fast sections in the final two furlongs. He finished fifth, beaten three and a half lengths. Returning to Sha Tin over 1200m for his first turf run, he benefits from a three-pound weight reduction this time. He has previous form over this distance, respectable sectionals compared to rivals and drawing a favorable barrier, allowing him to track the pace. Andrea Atzeni takes the ride; the jockey is known for controlling the horse's tempo, and trainer/jockey relationship remains solid. Prepared well, a clean break should see him forwardly positioned and capable of finishing in the leading group.
