Four weeks ago, over the same distance, performance was moderate. Slow start, settled towards the rear, made a move in the middle stages but faded at the finish to secure third place, beaten three and a half lengths. This time carrying only a one-pound penalty, lacks a strong finishing kick and faces an unfavourable draw. Trainer-jockey combination isn't ideal, however, the horse’s overall time is acceptable within the group, secured a good barrier which allows for a forward run. The jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities; a clean break and a committed early pace should see improvement.
