On June 19th (Conghua dirt trial 1200m: 6-6-3), the horse showed a competent performance, recovering from a slightly slow start to move up through the field. Five weeks ago, over Sha Tin turf at 1200m, the run was adequate despite a slow jump and settling towards the rear. It made progress in the middle stages with a strong push but finished beaten two and a half lengths in fifth place. A subsequent barrier trial showed acceptable form. Back on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, the horse has drawn an unfavorable outside barrier; however, its tendency to race from behind and strong finishing kick make it a contender.
