Six weeks ago, over a Happy Valley 1200m, the performance was below expectations; settled in a good position tracking the leaders, made a move in the middle stages but faded towards the finish. He finished fifth, beaten three and a half lengths. Another trial over a short distance at Happy Valley, this time without any additional weight. Having won twice previously at this course and distance with competitive times, drawing a favorable barrier, and appearing well-positioned, he is considered the strongest contender in this race. Horse, jockey, and trainer are a good match, and thorough preparation has been undertaken for another attempt.
