KING VICTOR

On June 26th, this horse completed a dirt trial over 1050m in sections of 1-2-1, demonstrating mature footwork. Six weeks ago, the horse performed poorly over Happy Valley’s 1200m, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear, maintaining an even pace without a strong finish. A barrier trial showed some improvement. This will be his debut over a short distance at Happy Valley; he has a two-pound weight reduction but is stepping back in trip which isn't ideal, leaving him in a disadvantageous position despite drawing a reasonable barrier and being considered primarily a trial run.
