Four weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well despite a slow start, settling towards the rear and finishing with a fast final two sections. He was beaten by one and a half lengths, finishing fifth. This time he will carry an additional pound in weight. Having previously secured two wins at this distance and showing good sectional times within the group, the strategy is to settle back and rely on a strong finishing kick. The trainer-jockey combination is reasonable; with diligent preparation, despite drawing a poor barrier, it shouldn't be discounted.
