Four weeks ago, over the same distance, this horse performed well. He was slow to jump and settled towards the rear but finished strongly to take second place, beaten by half a length in a close finish, demonstrating a good level of form. This time he needs to carry four pounds more weight. While having proven records at this distance and showing good times with the group, he has the potential to track the leaders or even set the pace. Trainer and jockey have a strong rapport, and the horse is entering the race in good condition following gatework exercises; however, he’s drawn poorly, which impacts his chances. Hopeful for a solid performance regardless.
