Two weeks ago, over this same distance, the horse performed well despite a slow start and settling towards the rear. It showed a strong finishing momentum during the run. This time it will carry an additional two pounds in weight, having demonstrated previous form over this course and distance with comparable times to its competition. Drawing a favorable barrier position allows for a potential pace-setting strategy if desired; while the finishing kick may be a concern, provided it jumps cleanly and settles well, a forward placing is achievable.
