LUCKY FIELD

On June 17th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-6-5), the horse was ridden along the bends without showing any speed. On May 30th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 5-5-5) it required constant urging to maintain a steady pace. March 13th (Conghua turf trial 1200m: 3-3-7), strong riding was needed but lacked sufficient power. April 25th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 5-5-4) showed some improvement with forceful riding, finishing reasonably well. April 11th (Conghua turf trial 1000m: 4-5-2) was a serious test, finishing second after a late surge. March 28th (Conghua turf trial 800m: 2-1-3), it maintained pace in the leading positions with urging. On March 7th (Conghua turf trial 800m: 6-7-8) faded in the middle stages and was unremarkable. This is its debutant run as a new horse, having begun training in Hong Kong in late November last year. It has completed seven trials this season without impressive results. A large horse with a short stature, it displays a low action and quick early pace but lacks an initial burst of speed or acceleration. Still undeveloped and struggling to keep up with the required progress; considered a trial run only.
