Three weeks ago, over Sha Tin 1400m, the performance was unremarkable. A slow jump saw it settle towards the rear, making a mid-race move but failing to sustain to the finish, finishing second, beaten by half a length and showing good ability. Now trying Happy Valley over 1200m, carrying only a one-pound penalty, it should handle the distance. Drawing a favorable barrier, a hold-up tactic is anticipated with a potentially strong finishing kick. The jockey has some familiarity with the horse's capabilities; trainer and jockey have confidence in each other, with late work added, but the situation isn’t ideal and settling for a place is advisable.
