On 23/9, this horse recorded a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 5-4-1, moving out from the turn to take the lead. Three weeks ago, over the same distance, it ran well despite a slow start, settling back and launching a strong two-section burst mid-race, chasing Lasstark. He was beaten three lengths finishing sixth. A recent barrier trial showed improvement. This time he will carry 10 pounds more weight, but with six wins from nineteen starts over this course and distance, the opposition isn't overly daunting. Pre-race preparation is solid, however a likely hold-up tactic coupled with an inferior finishing kick creates an unfavorable situation; caution advised.
