On September 16th, (turf trial 1000m: 2-3-3), shifted smoothly at the 200m mark and was held back in third under a light ride. This is his seasonal debut, having undergone one barrier trial showing slight improvement. Another turf trial over 1200m saw him receive a three-pound weight reduction this time; he was instructed to settle towards the rear, but lacked the finishing kick of rivals, and the racing configuration wasn't ideal. Trainer and jockey weren’t in sync, however, the overall section times weren’t poor. Keith Yeung takes the ride now, with some familiarity of the horse’s capabilities, hoping for a positive result.
