Two weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Sha Tin 1800m turf race, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with a steady pace. Despite a late effort, he was beaten two and a half lengths and finished seventh. On his debut on dirt over a mile this time, he benefits from a three-pound weight reduction, but the distance is not ideal and he has drawn an outside barrier, making for a less favourable position. However, he showed improvement at the finish suggesting he may have something in reserve.
