On September 26th, following a winning trial, the horse continued to trial over 1000m on the Conghua turf track, showing both early pace and finishing speed. A recent winner, three weeks ago it ran well in a 1200m dirt track race, settling comfortably tracking the leaders, accelerating into the middle stages of the race and taking the win by a length and a half. Another trial was satisfactory. Now stepping up to a straight course race, this time needing to carry six extra pounds, it has the potential to track with the leading pace setters. It drew a good barrier offering an advantageous position, with the jockey having some understanding of the horse’s capabilities; connections are preparing for a competitive effort. Despite the lack of strong form in its group and a weak finishing kick, trainer-jockey relationship is not optimal, a clean break from the gate should see it positioned to follow the pace.
