GRACIOUS EXPRESS

Two weeks ago, this horse ran a respectable race over a Happy Valley 1200m, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear. It finished strongly but was beaten two lengths, finishing fifth. Another trial over Sha Tin’s 1400m is planned, with a three-pound weight reduction this time, although drawing an outside barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field, but its finishing kick may not be strong enough against rivals. While the overall section times were comparable within its group, trainer and jockey maintain mutual trust, however, chances appear limited.
