On 10/9, recorded a fast third in a dirt trial over 1200m with stable pace. Five weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over 1200m on the dirt, slow out of the gate and settled at the rear, maintaining an even tempo but without any significant acceleration; finished well-beaten. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. First attempt on Sha Tin turf over 1400m this time with a two-pound weight reduction, distance is not ideal and the situation isn’t particularly advantageous. Despite drawing a good barrier allowing for an early pace, it's best to assess his performance in one race first.
