Two weeks ago, over this same distance, the horse performed well, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before finishing with a strong run. This time, no weight penalty is applied; the group timing is good, and the barrier draw is favorable. The plan is to settle back again, relying on a powerful finishing kick which is considered the strongest in the field. The jockey has a clear understanding of the horse’s temperament, though the current conditions aren't ideal and trainer-jockey rapport isn't strong, but showing determination.
