On September 23rd, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections recorded as 3-1-5), the horse showed an initial surge around the bend but didn't extend in the straight. On August 9th, in a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m (recorded as 5-5-8), he was pushed hard by the jockey with only moderate response. A further turf trial at Conghua on August 29th over 1000m (recorded as 2-7-10) revealed early weakness and unremarkable performance. This is the horse's debut run after arriving in Hong Kong, having previously shown signs of irregular heartbeat before import. Training commenced in early February. Three barrier trials have been completed this season without any noticeable improvement. His action shows a slightly high leg lift with some early speed, but lacks acceleration. He’s expected to be suited by distances between 1200m and 1400m; for this debut race, it's recommended to observe his performance first.
