Three weeks ago, this horse performed poorly over a Sha Tin 1400m race, slow to jump and settling towards the rear. He made an effort in the middle stages but faded badly and finished well-beaten. Returning to Happy Valley over a mile this time with a three-pound weight reduction, having previously secured two wins over this distance, the horse’s times are reasonable compared to its competition. It has the potential for an early lead and draws a favorable barrier. The jockey understands how to ride the horse, and despite a potentially weak finishing kick, the overall situation isn't unfavorable. However, trainer-jockey relationship is not ideal. A clean break should allow it to challenge for the lead and finish in the top positions.
