Three weeks ago, this horse performed satisfactorily over a Sha Tin 1200m race, with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. He made progress in the middle stages but ultimately failed to close the gap. In a subsequent trial at Happy Valley over 1200m, he benefits from a one-pound weight reduction. However, he has three unsuccessful runs at this distance previously, and time comparisons with horses in the same group are unfavorable. The advantage is his ability to track the leaders; drawing a good barrier suggests that a clean break and a forward run should allow him to secure a position within the leading pack.
