LUCKY EIGHT

Three weeks ago, this horse ran well over a Sha Tin 1200m, tracking the leader and maintaining a good pace throughout the middle section. He finished third with a strong effort but was beaten three and a half lengths. Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m this time, he will carry an additional five pounds and has drawn a poor barrier, making his chances less favorable. The trainer-jockey combination isn't ideal. Although he has performed well at this distance previously, the overall timing of the field is not significantly different. He’s likely to settle back in the field and rely on a finishing kick. Alexis Badel takes the ride, and appears to have some understanding of the horse's capabilities, though opportunities may be limited.
