Returning to Happy Valley over 1200m, he benefits from a one-pound weight reduction and has previous form at this distance. The overall time of the group is reasonable, drawing a favorable barrier gives him opportunity to lead. Workouts have been positive; despite potentially lacking a strong finishing kick, as long as he jumps cleanly, the intention is to take an early lead.
