Three weeks ago, over a Sha Tin 1200m turf track, the performance was below expectations with a slow jump and settling towards the rear. The horse showed an effort in the middle stages but lacked stamina when asked to extend. Having lost twenty-eight pounds in body weight, it will now trial over 1400m on the turf again. This time needing to carry two extra pounds, its section times are reasonable, allowing it to secure a good position tracking the leaders and drawing an inside barrier. Despite a potentially weak finishing kick, the horse shouldn’t be underestimated.
