On October 23rd, recorded a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 4-5-1, travelling comfortably and passing rivals with ease. Four weeks ago, this horse ran satisfactorily over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a strong effort during the middle stages and finishing strongly. A barrier trial session demonstrated improvement. This will be his debut attempt over a Happy Valley 1800m course; he’ll carry an additional two pounds this time. While the distance suits him and has drawn a favorable barrier, the horse is likely to settle towards the rear. However, his finishing kick may not be as strong as some of his opponents, and will need to overcome a slow start.
