On October 27th, the horse showed an eye-catching gallop in a dirt trial over 1200m, taking up position from an inside barrier. On October 10th, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m, he responded moderately to prompting and didn’t show significant strength. Five weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong performance on the Sha Tin turf over 1200m, jumping slowly but finishing with fast sections after settling towards the rear. Two barrier trials have shown some improvement. Making his debut over a Happy Valley mile this time around, he will carry one extra pound, and the distance is not ideal. The trainer-jockey combination isn’t considered strong. Despite drawing a good barrier, a hold-up tactic seems likely, but possesses the strongest finishing kick in the group. Harry Bentley takes the ride, forming a more promising partnership; this run is viewed as primarily a trial outing.
