On November 25th, (dirt trial 1200m: 6-7-6) the horse was urged forward and maintained a steady pace. Five weeks ago over the same distance, it ran well, tracking the leader and accelerating strongly in the middle stages, finishing second with a respectable margin of two and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial showed it lagging behind the required speed. This time carrying a four-pound weight reduction, despite facing strong competition within its group, drawing a favorable barrier, and enjoying good trainer-jockey rapport, preparations are solid. However, it’s expected to be held up in this race and currently lacks the finishing kick of its rivals, making its prospects less promising; a trailing pace is anticipated.
